Really inspiring, I took out my old xbox to do something like yours. A question though, where did you put the receiver for the logitech controller? After seeing your video, I bought 2 of them and want to place them inside mine as well. The only thing I can think of is to change to a 2.5″ hdd with a adapter to IDE, and simple place them around there.
Also, you opened your dvd remote receiver and connected the receiver internally by soldering or just wiring to the front ports but internal?

but i need help please. i have an original xbox and now RROD. i cleaned under the aluminium heat sinks and put new thermal compound it worked for five mins but then RROD again.
