I don’t understand about the volume. When I hook my laptop to my TV screen and try to watch a movie I have to use the volume on my MacBook Pro and yet its not all that loud So I have a great big viewing with low volume. Is there a way to raise the volume via my TV? Thanks

HDMI carries both video and audio. If you can update to Mountain Lion and get an Apple Tv you can stream 100% wirelessly in wi-fi. (mid 2011 Apple’s or higher)

Nice setup Jef. One question, do you know if that thunderbolt port can support both audio and video? I heard that high quality sound can be achieved with an optical cable. Im trying to figure out the best way of connecting my macbook air to my receiver to have both high quality video and audio. thanks
